No computer!

So, I don't have a laptop :( The fan has stopped working on it, and it randomly shuts off. And I also have no idea where the cord for my camera is, and Josh's laptop doesn't have a SD card slot on it... so no pictures can be uploaded until I either fix my laptop, OR I find my camera cord. Boo.

On a much more positive note, the Matthews Family is doing wonderfully :) Ky is getting SO big! He is talking more and more, and signs "cheese", "more", "all done", "candy", and attempts "water", lol. His new favorite thing is to shut himself in the kitchen cabinet. And then opens it, looks at me and says "bye bye!". He keeps me smiling all day long :)

Kaedrianna had a doctor appointment on Monday, she was exactly two weeks old. She had gained a full pound (8lbs 3 oz), and had grown almost half an inch! She is still nursing really well (it sure is easier the second time around!). She wants to eat just about every hour and a half during the day, give or take 15 or 20 minutes, and generally sleeps in 3 to 4 hour stretches at night, which is GREAT! We're still just doing cloth part time, even though I really don't like to put disposables on her, I didn't buy enough newborn sized cloth diapers, so we have to wait until she fits into the one size diapers that I have on the way here (which I hope will be around 6-8 weeks, but maybe not until 10 weeks or so).

Josh still had not found a better job :/  He's going to apply at a temp service later today to see what that turns up. He is such a great guy... honestly. Whoever hires him wont be disappointed.

I am truly truly enjoying life as a mommy to two. Being a mom is what I love to do. Getting up in the middle of the night, changing poopy diapers, wiping dirty faces... I know all of that should seem like some of the worst things ever, but they just don't. I really don't mind any of that (not saying that I love it, lol. It just really doesn't seem as bad as other people make it out to be). I don't want my kids to grow up too fast... I want to enjoy the baby years!

Enjoy!

Aren't my kiddos just lovely :) We are completely enjoying this new family of ours, which is why I haven't blogged nearly as much as I had planned. Miss Kaedrianna is doing well, and Kyson loves his little sister! Things are actually going much smoother than I had anticipated, which I am very grateful for. Josh has proved once again that he is the world's best Dad, husband, and best friend, all wrapped up into one special man. Glad I snagged him :) Kade is now in cloth diapers about 75% of the time, and I just discovered a cheaper pocket diaper for Kyson (and Kade when she is a bit bigger), that's what the star diaper is, called an Alva Baby diaper. Life is pretty busy, and I'm sure it wont settle down any time soon, but I plan to enjoy every second of it!

she's coming SOON!

Baby Kaedrianna Danielle Matthews is set to make her appearance in somewhere around 48 hours. I can't believe that the little girl that is squirming and kicking around inside of me will be in my arms in just two days... it really is mind boggling. It's what you dream of your whole pregnancy, but when the time comes, you just can't quite believe that you are so incredibly blessed to be given such a precious gift.

We have tentative plans for who is watching Kyson while we're at the hospital, but the best plan with a 16 month old is to just play it by ear. I love living so close to all of my family (most of the time), they're always there when I need them (and sometimes when I don't). I feel totally confident that Kyson will be a happy camper while he's staying with his aunts and grandparents... I know they love him almost as much as I do! :)

The next post will probably be tales of the birth, so if you're squeamish it might be best to skip over the next week or so of my blogging! I have actually debated with myself whether or not to post anything of that nature, but then I remembered the reason that I started this blog: to be able to go back and relive all of the moments that time fades away from your memory. Kyson is only 16 months old and I can't remember all of the details of his birth and the few weeks after... I don't want to remember just bits and pieces of my kids newborn days, I want to remember it ALL... even the up-all-night-crying parts! :)
