bedrest

While I really want to make this post into a pity party, I wont. I know that what I'm doing is working towards the goal of getting baby Kade here happy, healthy, and in MY arms... not some NICU nurses! I'm really hoping that after my next OB apt in a few days I'll be off restrictions though :) 6 weeks 2 days until my estimated due date, 5 weeks 3 days (38 DAYS!!!) until our possible induction. I know that I'm going to want to induce on that day, even though it scares me to think that Kaedrianna needs to come in her own time... I'll fight that battle with myself closer to when the time comes!

The big positive of being on bedrest is that I have TONS of time to research what we still need to get for Kaedrianna... and the list is not NEAR as long as it used to be :)

-10 newborn cloth diapers
-10 FB OS cloth diapers
-2 more packs of 7th generation size nb disposables for the first few weeks
- a couple of value size boxes of wipes
-cradle bedding
-and hopefully we can find a few more cotton, footed nb sleepers
- a white basket with a pink liner to go on top of her "dresser" to hold various odds and ends that are needed for newborns

THAT'S IT! :) I have gotten together enough hats, socks, blankets, bibs, sleepers, gowns, and paci's :) the vast majority of them PINK :)

Now, another list that just seems to keep growing and growing is the "TO-DO" list. The hardest thing about it is that we have to wait until we get our taxes back to complete most of it!

-Screen in the front porch!! This is really at the top of the list. Kyson's toys are absolutely overflowing this tiny trailer... my kitchen table has been evicted in favor of a play room! I would really like for it to be completed before Kade gets here, but I have to depend on my Dad and Josh to both take off work to get it done!
-Deep clean the carpets and the couch... it's been a while!
- Fix all of the nail holes and dings in the wall (Josh!)
- Wash all of the new baby things
- Have new flooring installed in the kitchen (Vinyl)
-Wash the car seat cover, and get the base installed in the car... probably one of the last things we'll do.
- Deep clean the whole house! Dusting, sweeping, moping, organizing, bleaching... all of the bedding washed, all of the odds and ends picked up... I will gladly turn this one over to one of my sisters! :) THAT is a definite plus of being on bed rest!
-Get the PT detailed... we had it done before Ky was born, and I LOVED it! We will definitely be going to the same place again!

And I'm sure I've forgotten something in there! The countdown has definitely started, can't wait to meet my FULL TERM baby girl!!

another ER visit...

This pregnancy is completely different from Kyson's! The first time around everything was pretty uneventful up until I fell in our front yard and was induced the following day. Last night was my second trip to the ER with Kade in my belly. Everything turned out fine, thankfully. I am now on partial bed rest, trying to drink lots of fluids, and just taking it easy all the way around. 6 weeks 6 days until my due date, 6 weeks until our possible induction!! Things are moving quickly now, I just hope that being tied down doesn't make everything slow down to a snail's pace!

snowed in... kind of

We definitely did get some winter weather! We got somewhere close to 6 inches of snow, and then some ice on top of that. Joshua had to drive to work yesterday morning... He was probably one of the first people out on the roads around here, but he just had to drive about 5 minutes away. This morning he ventured out to pick up some Cracker Barrel (and surprised me with a Mocha, too). He truly is a keeper! :) The roads are still really icy, apparently. He is also supposed to go deliver Chinese food from 4-9 tonight, and I know that the restaurant is open today (it wasn't yesterday), but I'm not sure if he will actually go or not.We took Ky outside for a few minutes yesterday, but he was less than thrilled. I quite agreed with him!

Josh and Kyson are in the living room floor playing with a Mega Blocks race track, and I REALLY REALLY wish I could find my camera! They are being too cute! I didn't get any good pics of him in the snow either :( I have looked everywhere for it! I'm really hoping that Ky hasn't thrown it in the trash can, and it will show up in another, safer, random spot. If I ever find it, I got some really cute pics of him playing in the bathtub with a million toys :)

snow

Apparently we are supposed to have some winter weather here in Georgia over the next day or so... Yay? While I think it will probably be exciting if Josh happens to get a day off work, I'm not necessarily looking forward to the possibility of losing power... and who goes out in the snow? I would much rather be in my warm house, watching from a window. BUT, the last time it snowed it was late at night, and I didn't take Ky out to play, and this time, especially if his daddy is home, I know we will at least spend a few minutes out there. Hopefully I can manage to get a few good pictures!

The family (meaning the "big" family) is pretty excited about the possibility of new kids :) At this point it's just a slight possibility, and we don't know any details yet, but I'm hoping and praying that everything falls into place...

Ky is cutting more teeth, I think. Runny nose, a little crabby, slight fever... at least I'm hoping it's just teething, and not another cold!

Josh and I are talking about the possibility of buying a trailer... DEFINITELY not what was originally in our hopes and dreams, but he can't seem to find a job, and our family is growing too fast to stay where we are now. I think it's a better alternative to renting an apartment somewhere. The plan would be to pay it off sooner rather than later, our credit would be better established, and when we go to buy our first house we can get a better interest rate, and we will be more mature financially. Just a little dreaming, definitely nothing set in stone!

shopping lists

My doctor is talking about a possible induction at 39 weeks 1 day... that leaves 8 weeks 1 day left before baby Kade will be here! We're not sure whether or not we will actually DO the induction, and although I say that now, I know how miserable I felt at the end of Kyson's pregnancy. I was oh so grateful to be able to meet him 10 days before his estimated due date.

SO! 57 days left, and we are pretty unprepared (well, as unprepared as you can be when you already have a 14 month old). Last week we picked up a pink bouncer seat and new diaper bag. It's a girly one, and we went ahead and moved Ky to a "big boy" diaper bag... a "quick tripper" which will hold a travel wipes case, an outfit with socks, and one FuzziBunz cloth diaper... really, we could use enough room for one more diaper in there, since whenever I do go out, I try to make it a multi-purpose outing and am usually gone half a day.

If I can ever get motivated to go get a shower, I have planned to go out shopping today :) We need girly blankets... LOTS, since I am a blanket user. I hate dirty blankets and my little babies will always be wrapped up in one (or two). We have no girly bibs, no girly socks, no girly onsies, no girly hats (I'm also a stickler for hats on newborns... probably thanks to my Granny Mauldin). I've picked up one pink/ladybug boppy cover from a consignment store, and I'll probably stop there, since really, I can't even remember how often I used our boppy with Ky. We also need a couple of paci's, and some disposable diapers (just for the first few weeks, after that it's into cloth she goes :)), we need a car seat head rest (pink of course)... and pink cradle bedding. The list goes on, I'm sure, and I will probably split this trip into several different outings over the next couple of days. I'm not what you would call a "shopper", and a pregnant me is even less inclined to walk around and make decisions all day long... that's just plain exhausting to me!!

Oh, and I haven't bought ANY pink cloth diapers yet!!
